Dr. Leilanie Mohd Nor’s area of specialization focuses on family business decision making process, venture creation and portfolio entrepreneurship, including trust and communication. She has conducted numerous studies on understanding the dynamics of a family business – the element of “familiness” that creates a competitive advantage to a family business. She holds a BA from Michigan State University, USA, and her PhD focused on the venture creation decision-making process within family businesses.
